“I’ve been with Kelley‘s bootcamp faithfully attending 3 days a week for over 2.5 years.  I love the bootcamp because of the comradery with all the other women.  I have made friends and am inspired by everyone pushing as hard as they can.  Kelley creates a new workout everyday and it’s never the same and never gets boring.  I was already fit when I started but after challenging myself with these workouts, I am in the best shape of my life.  Kelly’s bootcamp is fun and it’s my favorite way to get the day started. “

5 years ago i quit smoking, starting running…going to a gym…taking a few classes..i was in love with my new passion. The first few years of running was great..i worked out..lost some weight..until the last few years…where i was yo-yoing with my weight… I’ve always been a thicker build for my 5’2 height.. I’d get down in weight around marathon time but i always gained that weight back plus some…i thought i knew what i was doing with my nutrition..but i was wrong. I’m a foodie! I love to eat! Carbs for running…yes please!!!!
Well last year training for my fall marathon…i let my eating get out of control and gained some serious weight…and at the time of my last marathon i was the heaviest I’d ever been in my life!!! Although i completed my 7th marathon.. my race pictures were an eye opener… I became a fat runner..sad i know, and that bothered me! i knew i needed to make a change!! Thousands of miles logged… i let food get the best of me…i couldn’t believe it !! I knew i needed a change…i worked out enough so it had to be the food!!! My ah-ha moment!!! i wanted to know how to eat…what to eat for my body to make it work right!! But i didn’t know how to do that. A friend of mine recommend i contact this trainer she knew.. who she said was AMAZING! And she would help me! ….Me! The foodie..yea right!! I thought this Kelley woman has no idea what she’s getting herself into lol

Kelley was so amazing and supportive in our first conversation.. she was ready to take me on! She was more excited for me achieve my goals, i knew then no matter my journey…dreams and goals…she’d be right there and to do whatever it took to get me there!

Soooo i began with her boot camp this past November..with a food plan that was really doable…i was never hungry…i was learning how to eat..what to eat and how much…to help make my body a machine again! Her workouts were challenging but they were great! By the end of December i actually lost 12 lbs! Through the holidays which is nothing short of a miracle!

But i wanted more! I knew with Kelley’s help i could keep going and challenge myself more! I wanted to lose more weight!

In January..i began asking Kelley about her bikini and barbells team..she said it wasn’t too far off of what i was doing now as far as diet and exercise..we got to choose a show to compete in…but i wasnt sure i could do it…kinda outta my league…me the marathoner…in high heels….girly/diva???…bathing suit…I’m the girly guy ..the dude ???? Me???

Kelley said it would be a challenge..and have to say it was one of the best  challenges I’ve ever done…and if you know me i love a good challenge …hence my passion for marathoning! I was in..nothing like a triple dog dare to motivate me! Lol I was in!! Game on!

My new journey had begun…16 weeks of hard work…dedication…lay ahead of me..but i knew i was ready to make a change…i needed to make to do this for me…and only me…Kelley gave me the tools but i needed to do the work…and boy did i work lol

This adventure was filled with so many highs and lows.. but i had amazing coaches and team mates that helped me achieve every one of the goals i set for myself!

Soooo today i have lost almost 30 pounds.. I walked across that stage at Fitness Atlantic April 9th…a stronger..better version of  me! I was able to do something that i never thought possible…crossing that stage at the competition was huge for me. Without Kelley and coach Gina…all the amazing woman I’ve gym mates… I’m not sure i couldn’t have done it!!

If you want to make a change in your lifestyle..become a better stronger you…Kelley WILL GET YOU THERE! Trust me…i never thought in a million years i could do this…i learned to treat food as a tool to make my body a machine again! I learned how to eat…the workouts made me so strong…I’m really in love with all my new muscles…and I’m so proud of them!

I’m back to running again…and whatta know…I’m a much faster runner now that the weight and extra fat is off!!!

This is Gina D in the 5:15 am class.  I couldn’t be more proud of her as she stuck to her goals and focused on her end result which was 14 weeks of training and eating clean.  Her transformation is so exciting because it goes to show that ANYONE can do this!!!  We never have to stay “stuck” in a body we are not happy with.  It takes strong minds and determination!
